DESCRIPTION:
Funked Out Vocal Deep House / Vocal Tech House - Coming in hot with the first of three EP’s from WhoMadeWho’s Watergate 26 is two of the standout tracks from the mix. Both tracks come from WhoMadeWho and Artbat, yet with a unique twist each one sees the collaborators exchange creative roles.

Kicking things off Artbat’s edit of WhoMadeWho’s ‘Monsterrat’ is as deep and hypnotic as it is soulful and energetic as traces of Rock harmonize with low slung House and shimmers of Disco resulting in an eternal dance floor weapon.

Flipping sides WhoMadeWho features on Artbat’s ‘Closer’ where we witness the two outfits concoct a dramatic, emotional ride into celestial spaces where sweltering vocals balance delicately on massive bursts of low end and dreamy progressions creating an incredibly tense yet captivating outcome. Indulge in these two timeless cuts until we bring you more soon from the stellar WhoMadeWho Watergate 26. Enjoy!

WhoMadeWho are a Danish indie rock/dance-punk band from Copenhagen founded 2003 by Tomas Hoefding aka Bon Homme, Jeppe Kjellberg and Tomas Barfod. WhoMadeWho's sound has been described as "lean, yet lush and moving crisply through continents of stylistic territory." Besides a number of 12" singles and remixes for other artists, the band's first full release was their self-titled debut, 'WhoMadeWho'. The majority of the tracks from this album were later reworked into acoustic form on what would become their second record, 'Green Versions'. The band notably covered the popular Benny Benassi song "Satisfaction" on their first album and subsequent live performances. WhoMadeWho's track "Space For Rent" was performed live by Queens of the Stone Age member Josh Homme's side-project, the Fififf Teeners in their only live performance to date, a fact the band acknowledge on their MySpace. WhoMadeWho gained further popularity when they headlined the Benicàssim festival in 2007 after a delay caused former headliners, the Klaxons, to arrive too late to play their set. Artur and Batish are two friends who have risen from Kyiv’s underground to become one of the most in demand acts on the international circuit. It is a pure passion for the music that has got them there, as well as their own unique sense of driving, powerful and melodic house and techno. 2019 was a standout year for this pair, who were Mixmag Stars of the Year as well as being Beatport’s overall Number 1 best selling artists after an unbeatable string of Number 1 singles and the Ibiza DJ Awards - Breakthrough Artist Of The Year! It was only a few years ago back in 2015 that the pair made their first big impression with ‘Mandrake’ on Definition Music getting high profile support from Richie Hawtin and many more. From there they didn't look back and continued to subtly evolve their sound with the likes of ‘Uplift’ on Diynamic Music and ‘Tabu’ on fryhide showing off their masterful take on melody.
