N.W.A’s first studio album, “Straight Outta Compton,” stirs controversy with its brutally honest depiction of life in Southern Los Angeles. With guidance from veteran manager Jerry Heller, band members Ice Cube (O’Shea Jackson Jr.), Dr. Dre (Corey Hawkins), Eazy-E, DJ Yella and MC Ren navigate their way through the industry, acquiring fame, fortune and a place in history. The score is composed by Joseph Trapanese.
I have to admit I was surprised when a score releases was announced. I haven’t seen the film but I was 100% certain we would only see a soundtrack with various hip-hop and rap songs. The best surprises are the ones you’re not expecting so I’m excited to hear what score this movie
