4 Track EP Of Deep House / Tech - Dark basslines, acid flirtations, playful pads and infectious samples - NICE !
Urulu returns with some fresh movements for Voyage. The Californian producer (real name Taylor Freels) has been active since around 2012 on a variety of labels including Shabby Doll, Dirt Crew Recordings, Needwant Recordings and Let's Play House. Here, for Tom Trago's esteemed label he cooks up four tracks that skirt between the shamanic, the direct and all out, tops-off rollers. Urulu's ear for a killer arrangement is second to none, and all four tracks are meticulously constructed. His sound palette is forward focused but enjoyable, tantalizing... warm. In short, this is a very, very strong EP; full of dazzling textures, hefty beats and thoroughly engrossing hooks. It's gonna sound mega in the club, with the mix-downs and mastering lending themselves to extended nightclub play. Storming stuff for DJs and house heads alike. Recommended.
