Marking another milestone in the celebrated anniversary series, Platipus 30 Years – Volume 9 lands with four defining tracks that capture the label’s pioneering spirit and enduring influence on global trance culture. This edition brings together the legendary Union Jack – There Will Be No Armageddon (Original Mix), the driving grooves of Jamnesia – Get Busy (Original Mix), the atmospheric depth of Paragliders – Lithium (Original Mix), and the timeless journey of Quietman – Now + Zen (Original Mix). Each cut represents a cornerstone of the Platipus catalogue A true collector’s piece, Volume 9 continues the story of one of electronic music’s most iconic imprints.

The ninth episode in Platipus's ongoing 30th birthday celebration continues with four more mythical trance tracks from their history. One of their most celebrated artists is surely Union Jack and here the duo bring 'There Will Be No Armageddon', showing how trance music can also be atmospheric and beatless with this more ambient stunner. Jamnesia's 'Get Busy' incorporates a psy-trance edge while 'Lithium' melody still excites a quarter century later, Paragliders - one of Oliver Lieb's most cherished names - offers 'Lithium' and Quietman's 'Now + Zen' completes the look back with a track full of great melodic arpeggios and pianos. For a trance fan, this series is more than essential.

There are multiple artists with this name: 1) Union Jack are Simon Berry and Claudio Giussani, a trance music project from England. Best know for releasing the classic trance album "There Will Be No Armageddon". Founded in 1993, the duo has focused on acid and tech trance and has been closely associated with the Platipus record label. Their singles "Two Full Moons and a Trout" and "Red Herring" saw much club play in the early nineties." 2) Union Jack is a French ska-punk band. There are five members in this band: "XXX" on guitar and vocals, "Rude Ben" on bass and vocals, "Skrack" on drums and vocals, "Mr No" on saxophone, and "Low Cut" on Scratch. Though they are French, most of their lyrics are English. 3) Union Jack were a duo from Novi Sad (former Yugoslavia). They have released two tracks, for the then local CyberfArts DIY label. Larry Lush and Wilf Frost are the dynamic duo that make up the ironically named outfit, Quietman. Futuristic, uplifting and contemporary Trance producers, their adorable anthems, fat bass lines and majestic chord changes will get you rocking. Quietman had a less than tranquil arrival on the Trance scene in 1994. Lulled into a false sense of security by their melodic and peaceful intros, you are knocked off your chair when the mellowness ends and the musical madness starts. The chair itself melts into something Dali would be proud of, as twisted psychedelic beats overcome your mind, body and soul. The launch of their first single, Plastic Gourd, gave them the platform on which to build a solid reputation, followed in 1997, by the Top 50 hit Now And Zen. Their reputation was confirmed in 1998, when they worked with the renowned Man With No Name on their Trance monster, The Sleeper. Although many of their single releases have been deleted on CD some are still available on vinyl. All their single A sides can be found on their 1998 LP, Shhh, along with a number of otherwise unreleased, but equally journey inducing, tunes. More recently Quietman have been remixing like it’s going out of fashion and concentrating on their live audiovisual stage show, which has been getting feet moving and eyes popping the world over.
