Vocal Deep house & Afro House - Tropical Pop return to serve two more peak-time refreshments to the stale dancefloors of the world !!
Bursting with flavour, artificial sweeteners and a whole load of E numbers, these cuts deliver totally tropical disco pump and tangy technoid madness - teased, tweaked and transformed for maximum sugar rush.
Two years on from the release of their first hush-hush rework missive, the shadowy Tropical Pop crew returns with two more peak-time ready workouts full to bursting with - in their words - "illicit ingredients". On the A-side, our mysterious heroes have their merry way with what sounds like a mid-to-late-80s, synth-powered slab of mid-tempo dancefloor excellence from the Caribbean, extending instrumental passages, adding a dash of delay, and showcasing their source material's male and female vocals. On flip-side 'Supermalt', they get to work on a heavy slab of William Onyeabor-meets-Afro-funk excellence, once more dousing key instrumental elements in delay and reverb (check the extended sax solos) while highlighting a sweat-soaked, disco-influenced groove.
