There are at least six artist who use the name Third Rail.
1. Beatdown from the Lehigh Valley, PA
2. Bill Laswell, Amina Claudine Myers, Bernie Worrell, James Blood Ulmer, Joseph "Zigaboo" Modeliste. Funk / Blues. They released an album entitled "South Delta Space Age" in 1995. A 1997 follow-up, with Jerome "Bigfoot" Brailey replacing Modeliste on drums, was originally announced as As It Is by Third Rail, but the album was eventually released as James Blood Ulmer's Blue Blood, with the same personnel and compositions.
3. American punk band, popular in New England (Connecticut, Massachusetts, et.) in the late '70s. Its single "Rondey Rush"/"Sweet Jane" was an indie hit in that region in the winter of 1978.
4. Third Rail is a three emcee collective consisting of veteran hip-hop heavy weights Aarophat, D Strong & Wildelux. The trio comes forth with their debut LP entitled Politics, which was released on March 29, 2011.
5. Drum & Bass producer from Bournemouth, Britain (UK). Had a release on Covert Operations in 2005.

6. A NYHC/metal band formed in brief period between the break-up and reformation of Antidote. The line up was Robb Nunzio (Vocals/Guitar), Drew Stone (Bass/Vocals), Jimmy Garcia (Guitar) & Chris Praz (Drums). Some songs and a music video were recorded but never properly released. Drew Stone returned to doing vocals and Antidote reformed in the 90's.
