DESCRIPTION:
R&B / Swing / Hip Hop 2x12" Unreleased Mixtape From April 2014 - First Time on Vinyl 1 0f 1000 - Following the success of this EP Mixtape Solana Rowe - American R&B singer. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri, was signed to To Dawg Entertainment.

It is clear that SZA knows precisely what she wants her music to sound like: Z is essentially a chillwave album, every song resting softly on a bed of gauzy keyboard tones as muffled guitar figures and teetering drum patterns float by like dust in the sunlight. The results sound less weird than that description implies, since plenty of current R&B music folds back towards the same slumbering fog that defined chillwave. But very little chillwave featured female vocals—unless you include Beach House (previously sampled by Lamar, natch), spiritual ancestors of SZA whose DNA also courses through Z

Solána Imani Rowe (born November 8, 1989), known professionally as SZA (/ˈsɪzə/ SIZ-ə), is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for her diaristic songwriting and exploration of multiple genres, and is regarded as an influential figure in contemporary R&B and alternative R&B. SZA gained attention online with two self-released extended plays (EPs) before signing with Top Dawg Entertainment in 2013. Under the label, she released the lo-fi and psychedelic EP "Z" (2014) and her R&B debut album "Ctrl" (2017), which received critical acclaim and appeared on several year-end lists. Following "Ctrl", she participated in a series of high-profile collaborations, including the top-ten singles "All the Stars" (2018) with Kendrick Lamar, which received Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations, and "Kiss Me More" (2021) with Doja Cat, which earned her first Grammy Award. Her second album, "SOS" (2022), received widespread acclaim and saw SZA become the first woman to spend 100 weeks in the top ten of the Billboard 200. The album set the record for the longest-running US top-ten by a Black musician. Its fifth single, "Kill Bill", was the third best-selling song of 2023 and reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. From 2024 to 2025, she achieved further top-ten success with "Saturn" and "30 for 30" from the deluxe reissue of "SOS" titled "Lana" (2024), and her longest-running US number-one single, "Luther". Her 2025 Grand National Tour with Kendrick Lamar became the highest-grossing co-headlining tour in history. Throughout her career, SZA has earned seven Grammy Awards, a Brit Award, three American Music Awards, a Guild of Music Supervisors Award, and two Billboard Women in Music awards, including Woman of the Year. She has co-written songs for artists including Nicki Minaj, Beyoncé, Travis Scott, Schoolboy Q, and Rihanna. In 2024, she received the Hal David Starlight Award from the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
