SULTANA - TE AMO

There are two artists with that name. 1. Turkish born artist, currently residing in New York, bringing brand new flavaz, a new dimension to music by lacing hip-hop beats with ethnic influences and a hypnotizing sound while we are approaching millennium, Sultana is approaching music globally, uniting the orient and the west musically, artistically and lyrically. Like bridges spanning over Bosphorus (in İstanbul) connecting the two continents Europe and Asia, Sultana is architecting a new style hip-hop with a sensual touch of belly dancing. It is a pioneering movement; multi-talented, multi-cultural, multi-lingual. Her subject matter is social issues, life and experiences, sometimes humorous, sometimes political, passionate,sophisticated, sometimes fun and most of it all she is real. Musical influences varies from old and new school hip-hop to wide variety of both eastern and western music Sultana has been seen in many venues including, Wetlands, BCGB Gallery, Izzy Bar & Brownies (NYC), International Parliament Jazz Festival (İzmir-Turkey). 2. Sultana is a pop rock band from Joinville (Brazil), formed in 1995. Its currently formation is John Sultana (from Joinville (Brazil), vocals), Júlio Ruth (from Ponta Grossa (Brazil), lead guitar and backing vocals), Jacson Luis Inácio (from Joinville (Brazil), bass) and Lars Dalibor (from Stuttgart (Germany), drums). The band already opened shows to big names from Brazil. They play covers too, The Doors and Creedence Clearwater Revival, INXS, Nirvana, The Offspring, Raimundos, Ira!, Legião Urbana and Jota Quest.
