Last FM Information on Steady Diggin Workshop

Please note the information is done on a artist keyword match and data is provided by LastFM.
Founding members Eddie Rishue, John Pique and Ethics created a place where they could combine their styles and influences together and cut their teeth as recording artists. That place and the artists that dwell within are now known as the Steady Diggin Workshop. Their diverse material has amassed props from the likes of Cut Chemist (Jurassic 5), Rob Swift, Mr. Scruff, DJ Yoda, Egon (Stones Throw) and DJ Andy Smith to name but a few. Building a rep over the years from their appearances at the ubiquitous Carbon Imprints club nights, the Workshop’s DJ sets are extremely well renowned and healthy documented on their various mix CDs. They have performed at an extensive list of events including V Festival, T In The Park, Encompass Music Festival, Air&Style, Dub Club (Vienna), Mid Week Brakes (Copenhagen), Beatpackers (Cologne), Jelly Jazz (Plymouth & Exeter), Plan B, Cargo, Ruby Lo, 93 Feet East (London) and supported De La Soul in Gothenburg. Their work has been featured in such publications as Q Magazine, NME, DJ Magazine, IDJ and Undercover. Teaming up with DJ Andy Smith of Portishead for their definitive Rootdown radio show on www.totallyradio.com, the collective join the dots between fine quality HipHop, Funk, Soul and Reggae. The SDW sound is travelling as far abroad as Japan and Australia. Japan in particular has shown such strong demand that exclusive releases are arranged for the fan base. So far the group have collaborated with Ohmega Watts (Lightheaded / Ubiquity), Speech Defect (GAMM), MCM (Caveman), Cornbread (Kaliwild), Dr. Syntax, Shaun Abu and Brazilian singer Carla Alexander. Also remixing Canadian band Threat From Outer Space, Kista, Leisure, and label mate, LabRat. Check out: myspace.com/steadydigginworkshop for more info. Read more on Last.fm.
