4 Track EP OF Deep House - The mysterious Slick Venom series of hand-stamped 12" singles has been causing quite a stir - not least because each release drops in extremely limited qualities. There's plenty to set the pulse racing on volume three in the series, as expected. Track one wraps jaunty stabs, cut-up electric guitar notes, flowery synth-strings and effects-laden vocal snippets around a Buzzin' Fly-esque deep house ngroove, before track two peppers a more detailed house rhythm with all manner of attractive samples. Over on the B-side, track three is an even warmer and more string-laden affair, as if snippets of a movie soundtrack have been combined with a shuffling deep house beat, while track four is a seductive slow jam that sounds like a slow house take on an old Nana Moskouri record.
