Ltd 7" Release Vocal Funk & Soul from 1976 repressed - Recorded and released in Tasmania on the Candle label in 1976. Written and performed by Lyn Thomas to celebrate the opening of the Silvers Nightclub at the Hobart Casino.
In 1976, guitarist Lyn Thomas turned a casual request into one of Tasmania's funkiest records. Asked to write an ad for Silver's Restaurant Nightclub, he delivered 'Feelin' Funky' and 'Feelin' Silver', two scorching cuts released on Candle Records. Produced by label owner Nick Armstrong at Spectangle Studios, the session featured Ross Sutton on drums, Robyn Moore on vocals, Ian Clyne on piano, and Thomas on guitar. The 7" became a collector's grail, showcasing the rare groove side of Tasmania's scene. Now reissued by Austudy Records, this long-lost beauty traces Thomas' journey from 60s surf-rock with The Planets to 70s psych with Bacchus. Beautiful.
