DESCRIPTION:
7 Tracker - Piano House, Tech House, Acid & Electro & Rave Flava's, From Frankfurt's Finest.

The second part in Shan’s warehouse series delivers more of the same – but that’s definitely a great thing, if the dish has a great taste. Like it’s successful predecessor, the tracks don’t re-invent the wheel, but cater to all the nameless spaces and places that made raving in defiant and derelict places fun. There is house that sounds like techno (Elevate) and vice versa. Seasoned with break beats (89 Swing or the Future Sound of London-esque Euphony) or breaks for love (Uplift My Spirit) and even dub sirens, it is almost impossible not to find something to suit the customer’s environment. The main focus of attention might be the jack of all trades called Phantazia. Wouldn’t have sounded out of place at the entertainment series of the same name, it melts proto hardcore harmonics with Soul II Soul type of strings and immediate call for „the action“. And as we all know, that always speaks louder than words.

Last FM Information on Shan

Please note the information is done on a artist keyword match and data is provided by LastFM.
2013 marks the arrival of Shan, whose suitably titled debut, Waypoint, has caught critics' attention and signals big things for the London singer-songwriter and his one man brand of alternative folk. Recorded with producer Elliot Bradley (Matt Woods, Josh Barry, Jack Savoretti) and released for Spring 2013, the four track EP received over 2000 continuous plays and was praised by reviewers. Waypoint's immediate Internet success translated into airtime, with radio-friendly single Stay championed on BBC Introducing, the popular platform for emerging UK talent. Not long after, the obligatory music video followed, fast establishing the 24-year-old as not only a sound but a face to remember. While Waypoint marks Shan's break as a solo recording artist, the London College of Music grad honed his talent writing and recording with a number of fellow ones-to-watch, including Matt Woods, Rufio Summers and Josh Barry. Growing up in rural Shropshire, Shan began performing in bands aged 11 and, from then, has pursued a dream of releasing and performing his own music. Variously described as 'well refined', 'fantastic' and 'a perfect PR product', Shan's unique style is fast finding its place among 2013's hottest emerging acts and, with Waypoint an inaugural landmark, he's set on course for success.
