Olivia Isabel Rodrigo (born February 20, 2003) is an American singer-songwriter and actress. Rodrigo began her career as a child actress, appearing in commercials and the direct-to-video film "An American Girl: Grace Stirs Up Success" (2015). She gained prominence through her leading roles in the Disney Channel series "Bizaardvark" (2016-2019) and the Disney+ series "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series" (2019-2022). Rodrigo shifted her focus to music and signed with Geffen Records in 2020. Her debut studio album, "Sour" (2021), topped the US Billboard 200 and charts in nine other countries. It was preceded by the US Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles "Drivers License" and "Good 4 U". She was the subject of the documentary film "Olivia Rodrigo: Driving Home 2 U" (2022). Rodrigo became interested in songwriting after listening to country music and began playing guitar at the age of 12. In May 2010, at the age of seven, she appeared in an Old Navy commercial. In 2015, at the age of 12, Rodrigo made her acting debut in the lead role of Grace Thomas in the direct-to-video film "An American Girl: Grace Stirs Up Success". She attended Dorothy McElhinney Middle School in Murrieta for one year before moving to Los Angeles after being cast in Disney Channel's "Bizaardvark" in 2016. Rodrigo organised Daisy Chain Fields, an all-female music festival held on August 29 in Irvine, California, inspired by the 1990s Lilith Fair concerts. Net proceeds were directed towards charities supporting women and girls.
