DESCRIPTION:
Deep Lush Tech / Ambient / Minimal & Deep House -2x12" LP With Bonus 7" & Download Code,

Eight years after the classic "Thora Vukk" Robag Wruhme releases another masterpiece - Venq Tolep!

With playful ease, Wruhme takes synthetic sounds and sampled noises, cuts them and builds beats from them, without his music ever sounding made-up: each individual percussive sound is a small unit that bursts with melody. Or at least implied. For "Venq Tolep", his first Pampa album release in 8 years, Robag Wruhme dug into that and stretched the space of those parts wide. He finds beats within the beats, opens them up further, discovers hooklines and harmonies, and feels where he can finally do without rhythms entirely. "Venq Tolep" sounds round. A bow stretches. And of course it's the Robag Wruhme universe. Warmth instead of coolness and friendliness instead of harshness. But with "Venq Tolep" Robag Wruhme formulates something else: the album speaks the language of club music - sound design, layering, arrangement are familiar. but "Venq Tolep" also dares to come as close as possible from track to song: techno pop? pop techno? pop ambient? ambient pop? – Oh, quite simply: »"Venq Tolep" is Robag Wruhme's inscription in pop music.

While he's tended to maintain a fairly steady stream of singles, Robag Wruhme has never been a prolific producer of albums. It took him seven years to deliver a full-length follow-up to debut EP 'Wuzzelbud "KK"' and another eight to get round to creating "Venq Tolep", his latest album length exploration. So was it worth the wait? Undoubtedly! Beginning with the hazy grooves, gentle melodies and simmering strings of "Advent", the veteran German drifts between slow-motion ambient pop ("Westfal"), ethereal soft-focus deep house ("AK-Do 5"), intoxicating beat-free soundscapes ("Volta Copy (Ambient Version)") and undulating, glitch-heavy workouts that doff a cap to both pastoral techno and the glistening IDM of British greats such as Plaid and Boards of Canada.

Last FM Information on Robag Wruhme

Please note the information is done on a artist keyword match and data is provided by LastFM.
Gabor Schablizki (AKA Robag Wruhme) was one-half of Wighnomy Brothers, a collaborative project for which Schablizki handled the production. The project came to an end in the early months 2010, leaving Schablitzki to work on his solo work as Robag Wruhme. The sound of Wruhme is distanced somewhat from his previous work; while Wighnomy Brothers' material possessed a high-energy, dancefloor aesthetic, Whrume material is subtle, and more delicate. Over the years, releases have landed on Kompakt, Musik Krause, and Pampa—and it was a blissful Thora Vukk, full-length from 2011 that really captured the wider world's attention.
