4 Track EP Deep House Grooves With Familiar Vocal Snippets
Real D. burst on the scene last Summer with his breakthrough track "Rhodes That". One year on and he's back on Wolf music following a slight name change (interesting story that....) with four tracks of intricately constructed house music. Power beats and warped vocals categorize the tracks, with Real J using compression, filters and time-stretch tools to great effect. Vox are filtered and twisted throughout, giving a push-pull trajectory to proceedings. Real D uses an elastic, purple-hued palette with some really interesting synth patches which compliment the twisted vocal parts perfectly. All in all a tasty EP of new, tropically tinged, lo-fi indebted house music which should work well in any setting
