Reggae / Lovers Rock - First time repress Greensleeves' classic from 1984 - two roots anthems back to back - Michael Palmer's I'm Still Dancing receives a deep and heavy extended workout on the A side with the Radics in full effect. Another Greensleeves big value double-sider with Robert Ffrench's message missile No War making up the flip. Both sides mixed by Peter Chemist at Channel One in a "murder style" - original Roots Radics drum and bass from reggae's golden age. Both Sides expertly produced by Jah Thomas.
By the mid-80s, Greensleeves had become a crucial transmitter for Jamaica's rawest ideas, a label where singers, engineers and the Roots Radics produced tracks that travelled far beyond Kingston. This repress returns to that fertile moment with two anthems that carried both weight and uplift. On the A-side, Michael Palmer's 'I'm Still Dancing' stretches into a deep, unhurried 12" expansion, the Radics' bassline moving with that heavy, underwater sway they perfected at Channel One, Peter Chemist teasing out every shadow in the groove. Flip it and Robert Ffrench's 'No War' lands with firmer intent - a stark, melodic plea sharpened into dancehall cadence. Together they capture a golden-age chemistry, and it's startlingly alive.

A household name in the early and mid 80's dancehall / reggae era (also known as Palmer Dog in his early years). Palmer's rich, honey-coated voice covers a lot of ground, from crisp, digitized Dancehall riddims to the smooth, laid-back Lovers Rock. Releasing albums like 'Lick shot' in 1982 and recording several albums for Channel One in the mid 80's, he worked with great producers like prince Jammy, Jah Thomas and George Phang.
