3 Track EP Of Drum N Bass / Jungle - Overlook makes his debut on Metalheadz with the 'Shadow Of A Doubt EP', shaped by a long-standing appreciation for the classic Headz sound as well as the wider language of 90s drum and bass.
Jason Luxton aka Overlook will not be overlooked. Since his teens, he's appeared on the likes of Samurai, Rupture, and 31 Recordings before finding his most consistent home on UVB-76, the Bristol label founded by Gremlinz and Ruffhouse, where his debut LP Smoke Signals appeared in 2017. Operating under an aesthetic of "audio apparitions" drawn from horror scores and gothic fiction, his Metalheadz debut EP 'Shadow Of A Doubt' is the hardest they come in that regard: of course there's a cinematic overture on the title track, almost certainly taking after the openings to the films 2001: A Space Odyssey or Alien, for its string-laden paces. Luxton describes the EP as a love letter to the classic Headz sound, and without a Shadow Of A Doubt, he's nailed it.
