There are two bands called Oldboy. 1. Oldboy could either be the band, or the soundtrack from the film of the same name. A Death Country Band from the UK signed to Devil's Ruin Records. So far they have released two albums, "EP" and "In the Cold Light of Day". New album 'How Lost I Am' is now available along with previous releases 'In the Cold Light of Day' and 'EP' at oldboyuk.bandcamp.com. Since the demise of Devil's Ruin Records this is the only official and guarenteed site to purchase OldBoy's music. Thanks. OldBoy Biography OldBoy are a UK based band formed in 2007. Their sound has been described as Dark Roots, Gothic /Alt. Country and Americana. The band self released a promo EP in December 2007. This EP was re-mastered and along with the bands first full length Album ‘In the Cold Light of Day’ was given an official release by Devil’s Ruin Records in December 2008. The album 'How Lost I Am' was released independently in June 2011. Oldboy are Kevin Kehoe (vocals) and Wolfgang Schilhaneck (Arrangements). Kehoe comes from Waterford in Ireland and settled in Germany in the summer of 1996. Schilhaneck has been involved since the 80´s in the Reutlingen underground music scene. In 2006 Kehoe met Schilhaneck while playing with their retrospective bands in diverse clubs in the region and in the autumn 2007 Oldboy was formed. in mobile book studio in the winter of 2007/2008 they recorded their first cd „i hope it´s just the batteries“. The debut-album „i hope it´s just the batteries“ will be released in april 2008. The band´s sound has it´s roots in the melancholic post punk and new wave english bands of the early 80´s with influences varying from nick drake,the beta band and massive attack.
