Mystic Jungle (Dario di Pace) is a Naples-based producer, DJ and label head known for crafting a forward-thinking yet nostalgic sound that bridges Italo, funk, boogie and cosmic grooves. A driving force in Italy’s underground scene, he’s the founder of Periodica Records and co-founder of Futuribile Record Club, a key spot for vinyl enthusiasts and collectors of rare Neapolitan and Italian gems from the '70s and '80s.
Entirely self-taught, Mystic Jungle began experimenting with electronic music during his university years, eventually shaping a signature sound rooted in analog textures and sun-drenched rhythms. Since 2009, he’s released music under multiple aliases, developing a prolific catalog that reflects both his deep musical knowledge and his love for vintage gear.
In 2015, he launched Periodica and Futuribile, setting the stage for collaborations with fellow Naples-based artists like Whodamanny and Milord, with whom he formed a tight-knit production crew. Together, they’ve become known for a raw, psychedelic funk aesthetic that has garnered international attention.
As both a producer and creative director, Mystic Jungle not only oversees the sonic identity of his labels but also curates their visual language and archival projects, including reissues of obscure Italian records.
His solo work includes the acclaimed LP Night of Cheetah (2018), the EP Jurakan (2019) and the 2022 mini-album Deviant Disco, which was praised by collectors and DJs alike, earning a spot among Discogs' top 50 best-sellers of the year. His music has also been featured in campaigns by brands such as JBL and Camper, further cementing his influence beyond the underground.
