There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Generic were a British hardcore anarcho punk band who played melodic style of hardcore punk utilizing a wide aspect of influences and musical styles from grindcore similar passages to informative sections to plain hardcore punk. Being a band of conviction, their lyrics deal with everything from the apartheid regime in South Africa to coca cola's destruction of workers rights in south america to apathy and lack of interest among punks and people in general.
