Rock/ Folk/ American LP Pressed On Icarus Amber Vinyl - Grammy and BRIT award winners, Mumford & Sons return with their 6th studio album, 'Prizefighter', co-produced by Mumford & Sons and Aaron Dessner, and featuring Hozier, Gracie Abrams, Gigi Perez, and Chris Stapleton.
London stadium folk overlords Mumford & Sons enter a new phase with their sixth album, shaped in close partnership with Aaron Dessner and carried by an unusually open cast of guests. You hear that this transitional phase immediately: Chris Stapleton's grainy warmth on 'Here', Hozier's shadowed surge in 'Rubber Band Man', Gigi Perez bringing a sharper edge to 'Icarus', Gracie Abrams softening 'Badlands'. The band sound freer, less bound to the brash crescendos of their past, as the move instead toward slower emotional balladry. Prizefighter feels like a group trying to stretch out their frame without completely abandoning their old ways.

They’ve all played in various bands in their local scene, but somehow never all together until SONS. It was after seeing a Meatbodies show in Brussels that it dawned on the four friends to unite around a raucous, mangled sound. Read more on their website: http://vi.be/sons
There's another christian rock band with the same name:
Playing with a poetic message and delivering it with power, SONS have created a masterful sound filled with highs and lows – polarizing swings that mirror the beauty of life’s struggle and redemption. Led by multi-talented Aaron Newberry, SONS have spent the last four years manufacturing a gracious grassroots following on an empty budget. Their explosive ‘The Genesis Prologue EP’ surpassed 10,000 downloads, and their debut album, with a release date yet to be determined, was funded completely by preorders. Over 7,000 dollars raised purely on anticipation. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
