4 Track Pumpin House Monster From MR G - Everyone loves UK legend Mr G, and for good reason. He is not only a down to earth and endlessly positive character, but also a music making machine. He turns out tunes like it ain't no thang. For this one he is on his own Phoenix G label and gets you sweaty from the off with the humid chords and gospel cries of 'You Feel Mi' over one of his trademark rock solid beats. 'Next' is another dense arrangement that bristles and boils with fuzzy texture, bold bass and knackered chords. 'Peace' offers a little more room to breath with it suspended chords, and 'Did You Know?' slowly layers up samples and melodic sequences into a tune that fills you suspense.

Very briefly... Mr G is one of the main characters in popular Australian comedy mockumentary TV show Summer Heights High. As something of a self appointed head of drama at the fictional school the show is named for, he directs a bunch of school kids in a musical he wrote himself. The main song which is shown in the performance of the musical on the show, Naughty Girl, was made into a single, with various remixes created, having radio time.
Mr G is also a pseudonym for Colin McBean, one half of The Advent with Cisco Ferreira. The pair released one album and several EPs between 1997 and 2000 as G Flame & Mr G. In contrast to the uncompromising techno of The Advent, G Flame & Mr G's music was housier - although it's still not for the faint-hearted and is squarely aimed at the dancefloor. Mr G has continued to release solo material in the same mould since 2000, including an album called Me, Myself & I and numerous EPs. Read more on Last.fm.
