On their first joint outing on Sweden's G.A.M.M Industries imprint, Mallorca-based duo Melohman and Paco Colombas combine their love of Brazilian musical culture - reinforced by years of crate-digging trips to the South American nation - with the tropical musical culture of their home city. On the included two tracks, that means layered, carnival-ready and samba-soaked rhythms - dense, infectious drum tracks - taking centre stage. Check first 'Palma De Janeiro', where sung and chanted (sampled) vocals, sub-heavy bass and trippy electronics slowly rise above the pair's breathless Batacuda beats, before admiring flip-side 'Diablo', a more infectious and celebratory affair whose weighty bass and beats come laden with salsa style piano licks.
