MATT FRETTON - PALPITATING HEART

Matt Fretton was probably best known for being a support act for Depeche Mode in the Early 80s. He had a hit with It’s So High reaching number 50 in the charts, performed on Top of the Pops and supported bands such as Depeche Mode (Matt toured with Depeche on their '82 and '83 UK tours and has a unique perspective on early DM) and Eurythmics, before becoming an agent for classical musicians. Sadly, it was reported that Matt died in October 2013. On August 4th 2013, his partner, the musical photographer Sussie Ahlburg, died of an appartent heart attack in Hampstead Pond. Matt took his own life two months later. Matt had been recording an album up to the time of his death.
