DESCRIPTION:
Laurie Ansderson Synth Art Crosover Hit Get Tech Remix Treatment - Arguably one of Get Physical’s most influential tracks, ‘O Superman’ sees a new release with remixes from Man Power and SIS alongside the 2008 version from Robag Whrume and a remaster of the now classic original. Man Power kicks off the new interpretations with an epic, ten and half minute version that patiently stretches the original’s melodies into pads and held bass tones across crisp, micro-house styled beats before unleashing loose, clattering breakbeats after a striking, extended breakdown. SIS’s dreamy, percussive version sees the German producer in hypnotic, and tracky form, focussing on the ebb and flow of the original’s tuneful vocoder and synth work that drift across his perfect groove. Robag’s Pumper-Nikkel remix, for those that missed it some years back, is yet another funky, chopped, sliced and diced piece of work from the playful producer and still sounds as fresh as ever. M.A.N.D.Y. vs Booka Shade feat. Laurie Anderson - O Superman Remixes are released on Get Physical 12” in late July with a digital release following in the Autumn.

Friends since their teenage years and party throwers since the mid-'90s, Berlin-based DJ and production duo M.A.N.D.Y. -- Patrick Bodmer and Philipp Jung -- became visible within the dance community on a global scale shortly after the release of their first two mix albums, Get Physical (which summarized the label of the same name's first two years) and the initial volume in the Get Physical label's Body Language series. M.A.N.D.Y. and Booka Shade often collaborated on remixes and tracks, including a 2005 hit single also called "Body Language." Bodmer and Jung, along with DJ T. and Booka Shade, were responsible for Get Physical, which became one of Germany's most popular dance labels by its tenth release. M.A.N.D.Y. subsequently provided mixes for other labels, including At the Controls (Resist, 2006), Fabric 38 (Fabric, 2008) and Renaissance: The Mix Collection (Renaissance, 2009). The duo celebrated Get Physical's 7th anniversary with a limited mix CD in 2009, and mixed the 10th edition of the Body Language series in 2011. Following collaborations with Adultnapper and Lopazz, as well as the 2015 EP Remixes, M.A.N.D.Y. released their long-awaited debut artist album Double Fantasy in 2016. Read more on Last.fm.
