DESCRIPTION:
For RSD 2021- 4 x 12" LP Box Set - Hip Hop- 15th Year Anniversary Copy - Purple & Gold / Silver Vinyl

Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor Series is a limited edition 4xLP set featuring Fiasco’s debut studio album Food & Liquor and follow up Food and Liquor II together on vinyl for the first time, exclusively for Record Store Day 2021 - Drop 1. Strictly limited and numbered to 7000 copies worldwide (5000 in the US).

The albums are pressed on 140gram vinyl, housed in a slipcase featuring an assortment of colors. Hype sticker and online product descriptions indicated a Gold & Purple pressing. However, opened pieces indicate Food & Liquor appears to have a Green & Purple splatter/swirl. Food and Liquor II remains consistent with information given as it was pressed on silver vinyl. Some recipients have also stated they did not receive a stamped number on their slipcase.

Food & Liquor – which celebrates its 15th anniversary this year – features production from Kanye West, The Neptunes (Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo), Mike Shinoda & Jay-Z amongst others. It was nominated for four Grammy Awards, and includes Grammy Award winning track “Daydreaming” (Feat. Jill Scott). Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1 – which will be pressed on vinyl for the first time ever exclusively for this package – features production from The Audibles and 1500 or Nothin' amongst others. It went on to chart at number 5 in the US Billboard 200 and was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album.

In 2006 Lupe released his debut album, Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor on Atlantic Records, and in December 2007 he released his second full length album, Lupe Fiasco's The Cool . Lupe released his fifth studio album Tetsuo & Youth on January 20, 2015. Lupe's 8th Studio Album DRILL MUSIC IN ZION was released on June 23rd 2022 Lupe has previously been on label Epic with his group Da Pak and then signed a solo deal with Arista.
