Vocal Disco House / Nu-disco - Originally Released in 2005 on Z Records - Re-issued With New Mixes
Italian reissue specialists Groovin' take a deep dive into the back catalogue of long-serving British house producer Dave Lee, offering up a trio of versions of mid-90s club smash 'Make a Move On Me'. Lee's much-loved, near nine-minute extended club mix - where a strong Taka Boom lead vocal rises above chunky, funky house beats, addictive synth-string loops and hands-aloft piano stabs - sits on side A, delivering nostalgic flashbacks to sweat-soaked noughties dancefloors. Over on side B, the label showcases re-makes from earlier this decade: the gorgeous, musically expansive and more rhythmically swinging 'Disco Mix', an almost all-live re-make in Lee's trademark style, and the wild organ solo-sporting pass that is the disco dub style 'Dubwize Reorganization'. The definitive edition of a genuine dancefloor classic.
