Deep House 5 Tracker - Italy’s own L.D.F. makes his debut on Shadow Pressings with a fresh slab of raw, analog funk—pressed strictly to wax and destined for selectors who still worship the turntable altar. With contributions from Detroit icons, Javonntte, Gary Romalis, & European groove architects Tilman & Böhm, the EP threads classic motifs through a modern underground sensibility—never nostalgic, always alive.
Naples' Shadow label treat underground music not like the catacombs of their home city, but as immortal sustenance, many of their releases marketed honorifically; 'Tribute To The Latin Posse' is no exception to this, welcoming Italian producer LDF (Lello Di Franco) on a note of raw appeal to the Latino populations of Chicago and Detroit, and their distinct input in the development of each city's namesake house genre. 'You & Me' with Tilman and Javonntte sets the tone with dusty drums and throaty chords, while 'Tribal Dance' gets out the 808, spy-series stingers and synth strings. 'The Freaks' hears a scratchier, DAT-lifted turn, while 'In & Out' and 'Light Speed' carries on that same circuit-level unbalance.
