3 Track EP OF Deep House Pressed on Orange Vinyl - Before relocating to the UK and embarking on a career blurring the boundaries between deep house and tech-house, Dallas native Lance DeSardi spent a number of years immersed in California's "west coast" deep house scene. It was while there that he laid down one of his most sought-after early EPs, 2002's Jazz Salad on the short-lived (but now cult) label Pacific Traxx. As this reissue proves, it remains a fine example of turn-of-the-century West Coast headiness - deep, dreamy, spacey and lightly dubby in places, it is undoubtedly a classic of its type. For proof, check the rolling tactility and gently intergalactic brilliance of 'Boing' (which comes accompanied by the beats-focused 'Boing Boom Shox' DJ tool) and the electric piano-laden late-night roll of the impeccable title track.
