Detroits Ladymonix Serves Up 4 Tracks of Pumpin Vocal House & Detroit House - Do you like house music? We're big fans over here at Studio Barnhus HQ, with the particular house music of LADYMONIX having been a key element of our liveliest house music get-togethers over the last years.
We're thrilled to announce the Baltimore-native, Detroit based DJ and producer's new EP on our label, which marks her first solo venture outside of her own Frizner Electric imprint.
The four tracks on the Welcome 2 My House EP are perfect examples of LADYMONIX's core sound: Essential dance tracks, firmly grounded in sacred house music tradition, executed with heaps of personality, finesse and charm.
Detroit's Ladymonix is ever more visible of late, and deservingly so. For this one she links ups with the curious and curveball Studio Barnhus crew to drop her Welcome 2 My House EP. It's a great statement of her style - full fronted house that is deep but never dreary. 'In A Daze' has a raw kick to it that gets you locked, and 'So Sweet' layers up dusty drum scuffs with molten cosmic chord work and a hooky vocal. More sweaty and steamy house features on the flip side with the swing and roll of 'Welcome 2 My House' and irresistible vocal bounce of 'Desire'. Timeless house from this US mainstay.
