A strange afterlife for a 2010 Danish cover of a 2007 Dutch house original: 'Turn The Lights Off' by Kato & Jon lay dormant for 15 years, until a meme account paired it with a Jon Hamm dance scene from Your Friends & Neighbours, at which point it detonated across TikTok and Instagram, with unintended velocity. Kato told the press that the phenomenon began on Ukrainian social media even before the Hamm clip took over, adding impurer oxygen to the fire. The original DJ Jose version is from 2007; but the cover that the internet chose now comes in full glossified shuffle mode, and backed by two bolsterer versions by Kayn & Hawkes and Deeper People.
