German producers Juno and Jamek Ortega have collaborated on tracks and releases countless times before, in the process popping up on such admired imprints as MoBlack, Unreleased Records and Wired World. Here they make their collaborative bow on Damian Lazarus's storied Crosstown Rebels label. Opener 'Deep Breath' is heady and intoxicating, with spacey, effects-laden electronic motifs wrapping round a percussion-packed rhythm track, deep bass, echoing spoken word snippets, pulsing ambient pads and trippy textures. 'Sloppy Disk', meanwhile, is warmer and more positive-sounding - all yearning vocal snippets, sparkling synth riffs, deep dubby bass and elastic deep house beats.
