DESCRIPTION:
3 Tracks Of Deep House, Acid House With Tech House Flava';s - Introducing the 7th offering from the Pacific Coast House reissue series, JT Donaldson – Make You High. As with all these titles, grab them whilst you can!
The latest deep dive into the back catalogue of cult Californian label Pacific Coast House and its numerous sub-labels takes us back to 2001 and some early gems from long-serving Texan producer JT Donaldson. 'Make You High', the lead cut, is representative of the then Chicago-based producer's distinctive take on house, a thickset blend of dubby, West Coast deep house influenced grooves, chunky tech-house, and mind-altering acid. It comes backed by the even more acidic and peak-time-ready 'Make You High (Dub)' - a cut originally called 'Make You Higher', fact fans - and Donaldson's 2003 revision of Gahl Sasson's 'Time To Have Fun', a chugging and atmospheric acid head-nodder with extra layers of wide-eyed early morning hedonism. Astonishingly, this is the first time it has ever appeared on wax.
