Violet Maye Grohl (born April 15, 2006) is an American musician and singer-songwriter.
Grohl received a musical education and developed proficiency in music production software at an early age. Her inaugural professional performance took place in 2018, during which she performed a rendition of Adele’s “When We Were Young” at Fox Oakland Theatre to support the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital.
As recognition grew, Grohl began performing live alongside her father, Dave Grohl, and the remaining members of Nirvana. In 2021, Grohl and her father released a cover of X’s “Nausea,” which led to her debut release. Later that year, she was featured on The Hanukkah Sessions, where she covered Amy Winehouse’s “Take the Box.”
Over the years, Grohl collaborated with her father on various covers and performances until her debut solo singles, released in December 2025, shifted her career path. Known for her distinctive sound characterized by powerful, melodic vocals and gritty, punchy guitar riffs, Grohl started exploring a new sonic direction, blending contemporary alternative rock with a vintage touch. Grohl released her debut album Be Sweet to Me on May 29, 2026.
