Selena Marie Gomez (born July 22, 1992) is an American actress, singer, and businesswoman. She began her career as a child actress on the children's television series Barney & Friends (2002–2004) and later gained prominence for her role as Alex Russo on the Disney Channel sitcom Wizards of Waverly Place (2007–2012). Benjamin Joseph Levin, known professionally as Benny Blanco, is an American record producer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and recipient of the 2013 Hal David Starlight Award from the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
