Last FM Information on Fred Numf

You may think you’ve heard this before, but when you enter a Fred Numf party, you enter at your own risk of dancing yourself dizzy. With a reputation for shredding entire dance floors to bits, Fred Numf leaves nothing – and no one – behind with his assault of raw, bumping beats. Leave the genres aside. By night, Fred Numf fires off deep, percussive tracks with point-blank accuracy in the mix, and by day he's rolling out the heavy artillery for a long discography of hard hitting singles and remixes. His sound is futuristic house music with a raw edge, although there's a definite retro element creeping in, flavoured with that dirty electro-tech tinge long before it became so popular with today’s clubbers and DJs. His catalogue is filled to the brim with his full-throttle, synthesized narcotic experiences, complete with growling keyboards and seriously twisted breakdowns A tireless globetrotter, Fred Numf has performed across the world in the USA, China, Ukraine, Brazil, Indonesia, and Lebanon. His diary counts major dance festivals like Dance Valley, Extrema, and the Amsterdam Dance Even, playing next to everyone from Sasha and Digweed to Ferry Corsten and from Deep Dish to Anthony Pappa. With more than 10 years of A&R experience, and music signed to various labels, Fred has been hitting the underground with his own productions under several aliases, his hits including "Love is the Drug" with Etienne Overdijk and "Deeper Thoughts" with Alvin Dorsey feat. Jennifer K. He signed two tracks to Deep Dish’s YO! label as Fred Numf vs. Etienne Overdijk, with “Disorientation/Drifting”. Fred has also made a name for himself with several hit remixes like Way Out West's "Mindcircus" and Tiësto’s "Lethal Industry". On the album side, Fred has released three volumes of his popular Universal Language series since 2001, with the first two volumes released through Tiësto’s Black Hole Recordings and the third via NEWS Belgium. Now, Fred Numf is getting ready for a spate of releases in 2008, starting with his remix of "Sleazeball" by Slighter which is already being supported heavily by Tiësto, Marco V, Joop and Cor Fijneman, plus a massive progressive remix for Moonbeam together with producers Andor van Reeven and Marco Pronk which will be released on Moonbeam Digital. His big release for this year will be "Directions", out soon on promo with a remix package from some up and coming talents. Aside from Fred's own Ibiza Remix and the original mix, the package includes the Dub 8 Remix from the very promising Kalice (Dub 8 Records, Jordan) giving the single a minimal tech feel, and a harder twist from Ricardo Luiagi, known from "Modular" and "Carambola". Also to be expected in 2008 a FULL Artist album of Fred Numf on Black Hole records. A respected name in the scene with his easy-going nature and infectious positive attitude, Fred Numf has worked hard for many years to spread his love for music with the people of the world, and he enjoys every second of it.
