2008 Trance Classic - Repress Part 2 - Nalin & Kane & Deadmau5 on Duty - Energy 52’s Café Del Mar has come to represent the most euphoric and hedonistic pleasures of dancefloors - in Ibiza and all around the world - and has been remixed by some of the biggest names in electronic music. Known for its infectious melody and its strong impact on dancefloors around the globe it charted multiple times around the world and won countless awards. Now, 30 years after its first original release, Superstition Records will be putting out a new series of releases, with brand new remixes as well as some of the many remixes from across the last three decades.

The second part in the series features two of the most recognizable interpretations, which fed into the hearts of millions: the remixes from 90ies Trance legends Nalin & Kane, originally released in 1998, which takes us on a deeper trance journey, raiding the senses with warm, calming pads before lush basses come through and ultimately that famous, instantly recognizable melody, alongside iconic Deadmau5 who delivered a remarkable housegrooving deep interpretation of the classic in 2008.

Last FM Information on Energy 52

Please note the information is done on a artist keyword match and data is provided by LastFM.
Energy 52 was a short-lived project from German DJs Kid Paul (aka Paul Schmitz Moorman, aka Paul M) and Cosmic Baby (aka Harald Bluechel). Back in 1991 they released a couple of tracks, but it is in 1993 that they release their Magnum opus. After hearing Wim Mertens’ piece Struggle For Pleasure in the Ibiza sunset café, Cafe Del Mar, Paul gets inspired by this energetic piano driven piece. Back in Germany Paul and Harald start to translate this energy to the dance floor, Cafe Del Mar is born. Cafe Del Mar became one of the most heard trance songs in the world, with countless remixes produced. Read more on Last.fm.
