DESCRIPTION:
Vocal Orchestral Pop Version of Hits -

Sophie Ellis-Bextor took her biggest disco hits and gave them a string section on Song Diaries, which is the UK pop favourites seventh album. 'Murder on the Dancefloor' and 'Groovejet (If This Ain't Love),' the most played record on UK radio from 2000 to 2010, are reworked with orchestral arrangements by Amy Langley, with six Top Ten singles in total featuring elsewhere. Ed Harcourt produces, as on Familia and Wanderlust, with extra production from David Arnold, whose credits include five Bond films. The songs lose none of their sparkle in the move from club to concert hall and in fact become even more grand and consuming.
