Todd Edward Imperatrice, more known as Todd Edwards is a house and UK Garage producer born in New Jersey in 1972. His style of music is characterized by a collage of micro-samples over swung UK garage beats and percussion, with groovy, disco-inspired bass lines. He started his career off around 1992, first releasing some tracks under the alias The Todd Edwards Project. He was influenced by several people, especially Mark Kinchen, or MK, whose remixes had vocal reconstructions and chops, like his remix of The Nightcrawlers' "Push The Feeling On". He is considered one of the godfathers of UK garage and directly inspired many other UK garage musicians. He is also a committed Christian and considers God as one of his main sources of inspiration. Furthermore, he also hides religious lyrics or phrases in some of his songs or remixes. He has been an example and inspiration for a lot of artists, from MJ Cole and Burial, to Daft Punk and Akufen. Todd's discography spans hundreds of songs and remixes, including remixes for Wildchild, St Germain, Nicole J McCloud, Mad Moses, Robin S., Dimitri From Paris, and Benjamin Diamond. HIs releases were played to various enthusiast groups. Some of his albums and mixes include Prima Edizione, the Full On series, New Trends Sounds series, and Odyssey. In 2013, he and Daft Punk would collaborate and release a song, Fragments of Time, on Daft Punk's album Random Access Memories. This would earn him a Grammy along with Daft Punk, because of the album winning Album Of The Year in 2014. In May of 2021, record label Defected Records announced that they would be releasing much of Todd's tracks on streaming services, including some tracks from Prima Edizione, and other EPs and singles, through one of their sub-labels, 4 To The Floor Records. These include club hits like Shut The Door, Saved My Life and Wishing I Were Home. Even in 2022, Todd continues to produce and remix. Read more on Last.fm. Someone whose passion for music and feelings are reflected in his productions! Ever since he was a child and heard his father playing guitar (for the Italian Band „Camaleonti“) he has loved music and his father became his idol! As a teenager Dario was attracted by the Garage & New Jersey House sound (specially the one played by djs Djaimin (Coleur 3) & Tony Humphries (Kiss Fm radio), in fact these radio shows boosted his energy & love for the music. He bought his first vinyl at the age of 15 and a year later started his dj career in his home town of Schaffhausen playing in clubs & bars like the “Kaktus” where he had a great time! In 1997 he created the successful party series „Amaro“ with two friends in several spots in the city and a bit later he started playing all over Switzerland. Dario was recognized as a dj of great charm and also starts playing for the first time at Club Oxa in Zurich. Around then he also had a radio show called “Dancemachine” that included national & international guests. Today Dario is recognized as a successful dj and plays all over Switzerland with big names like Mousse T, Bob Sinclar, Mr Mike, David Guetta, Jamie Lewis, Junior Jack, Grant Nelson, Shakedown and Frankie Feliciano… He appears in clubs like: Mad in Lausanne, Kaufleuten in Zurich, Supermarket in Zurich, Club Q in Zurich, Club Duo in Bienne and many others. To be a producer was always one of his dreams and in 1999 it came true when he made his first production “lift me up” together with dj Agroovin and it was released by a small Swiss label. In 2002 D’Attis remixed for Purple Music “Now or never” by Sound of Joy. Since 2001 he has built his own recording studio. Recently, with Lisa Millet, he has produced the song “Dollars” and in “Can U feel It” with Freda Goodlett on Purple Music. Syndia, Spanish Harlem & Skunk on Purple Tracks was another of his works. He also worked on several remixes such as: Lisa Shaw, Anthony Romeno, Haldo, Jordan Fields, Matteo Ionescu, Mankz, Distant People, Denis the Menace, Mirco Esposito from Raw Soul Orchestra and others. Other projects featuring singers such as Freda Goodlett, Shon Jackson, Lejuan as well as solo projects will be released on Purple Music. Read more on Last.fm. Last FM Information on Low Steppa

Please note the information is done on a artist keyword match and data is provided by LastFM.
Low Steppa is without doubt one of the most vital and influential house music artists of the present day. From his explosive bootleg of Route 94's 'My Love' to playing BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend and Defected In The House parties, to his Rinse FM show and all-conquering Simma Black imprint - which celebrated its 100th release in 2017 - Low Steppa is about as relevant and in-demand a DJ and producer as its possible to be. It was the aforementioned bootleg of Route 94's 'My Love' that announced his arrival, reaching over 2.2 million plays on Soundcloud following its release back in 2013 and kick-starting a musical revolution with Low Steppa very much as its forefront. The track received so much hype that Route 94 replaced his own version within club sets, and was an early benchmark of quality, with Low Steppa's music now a regular feature on the UK's favourite radio shows including Kiss FM, Capital and BBC Radio 1 Xtra. Notable productions that followed include his all-conquering remix of Sonny Fodera 'Always Gonna Be' and a rework of Hardrive's 'Deep Inside', which was picked up by legendary dance label Strictly Rhythm and hit No.1 on Traxsource within the first week of release. One of the many successes of Low Steppa's career to date has been Simma Black - a label that has risen through the ranks to be one of the most respected imprints around, regularly dominating the Beatport and Traxsource charts with singles from a wide variety of acclaimed producers and rising stars in the making. The 100th release on the label was 'Karma', a record he produced with acclaimed singer/songwriter Alex Mills on vocals, and one that lead to both label of the month and an artist of the month awards from Beetport in summer 2017. Outside of the studio, Low Steppa has already performed at landmark gigs including Radio 1's Big Weekend Opening Party and EDC Las Vegas. However it is his assocation with legendary house label Defected that has really stepped up a gear. In 2017 alone he performed at seven of the Defected In The House Ibiza residencies at Eden, with his back-to-back sets alongside Sonny Fodera among the most celebrated of the season. Already planned for the 2018 is a huge tour of the US, taking in some of the very finest clubs in the country, exact details of which will be announced late 2017. You can hear Low Steppa on UK radio station Rinse FM for his resident show every third Friday of the month from 1-3am. Read more on Last.fm.
