1) Hard Life (formerly known as Easy Life) are an pop/funk band hailing from Leicester, United Kingdom. The band was formed in 2017 by frontman Murray Matravers, together with bassist, saxophonist, singer and school friend Sam Hewitt. Also in their ranks are Afrobeat-influenced drummer Olly Cassidy, guitarist Lewis Berry and Jordan Birtles, on percussion, keys and backing vocals. They released their debut single “Pockets” on November 22, 2017 through Chess Club Records. Due to the songs inclusion on the Fifa 19 soundtrack and all-round success, they subsequently signed to Island and continued to go from strength-to-strength; headlining the BBC Introducing stage at Glastonbury 2019 and featuring as Annie Mac’s ‘Hottest Record’ on BBC Radio 1 on 16th July 2019 with single “Earth”. They released their debut mixtape "Creature Habits" on April 12, 2018. Following the release of the singles "Frank" on July 11, 2018 and "Nightmares" in September 2018, the band appeared on Later... with Jools Holland. The band finished 2018 by releasing their fourth single, "Temporary Love Part 1" (with B-side "Temporary Love Part 2"), in December. They released their second mixtape, "Spaceships", containing the single "Sunday" in March 2019. They headlined the BBC Introducing stage at the Glastonbury Festival in June. Debuting as Annie Mac's "Hottest Record" on BBC Radio 1 in July, the band released the single "Earth". The music video, commenting on environmental issues, was shot at a plastic recycling plant in Morocco. Their third mixtape, "Junk Food" was released on January 10, 2020. It reached No. 7 on the UK Albums Chart a day after its release. They came second in the 2020 edition of the BBC's Sound of..., an annual music poll of music critics and industry figures to find the most promising new music talent. The band released their debut album "Life's a Beach" on 28 May 2021. It reached the number two spot on the UK Albums Chart. In 2022 they took to Glastonbury's Pyramid Stage, this was their second Glastonbury appearance and a remarkable step-up from their first on BBC Introducing. They featured alongside former Brockhampton member Kevin Absract, who joined them on stage and promptly forgot his verse. They released their second album "Maybe in Another Life..." on 7 October 2022. Like the band's first album, it also reached the number two spot on the UK Albums Chart. In June 2024, the group changed its name to Hard Life in every platform, under threat of lawsuit from EasyJet Airlines, who coerced the band into giving up their registered trademark. 2) Easy Life, now known as After Touch, is an Australian metalcore band. They changed name in July 2018. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
