6 Tracks EP Of Deep House Balearic & Slo Mo Grooves - On the A SIDE: Dreems has taken a little wander over into the Pinchy patch with three mental head spinning tracks that defying categorization.
And on the B SIDE: Dreems meets dub legend Scientist for three mixes from the desk. Each track was reimagined and re-recorded before Scientist took control of the faders to dub them in to oblivion.
Multi-Culti regular Dreems (AKA Aussie producer Angus Gruzman) makes music that's deeply psychedelic, but often extremely difficult to neatly pigeonhole. He's at it again on this first outing for Pinchy & Friends, which combines a trio of original cuts with a similar number of total reconstructions from dub hero Scientist. You'll find the former on the A, with analogue-rich synth-wave throbber 'Watchamacallit Machine' being joined by the minimalistic, bass-heavy brilliance of 'String Gadget' and the tactile psychedelic electronic funk of 'Here Comes The New Prophet'. Scientist's dubs are naturally excellent, with the much-loved mix-master re-imagining Gruzman's tracks as deep, spaced-out electronic dub tracks. They're all great, with his dub of 'Here Comes The New Prophet' being the most dancefloor-ready of the lot.

Scientist is a name of at least two acts:
[[b]1] A pseudonym of dub musician Hopeton Brown (aka Overton Brown), from Kingston, Jamaica). Brown burst onto the reggae scene in the early '70s with a reckless mixing style that seemed to outdo even King Tubby's wildest extravaganzas. He began his career as an engineer at Tubby's in 1978. Shortly afterwards he became a Tubby protégé and, by 1980, had gained a reputation with a distinctive mixing style.
He became worldwide known after Rockstar Games used his album 'Scientist Rids the World of the Curse Of the Vampires' in 2001.
