The basic idea, we think, is for both pseudonym and label to showcase the ambient, psychedelic, Balearic and downtempo don's more house-leaning club cuts. On release number two, he joins forces with legendary Orange Juice drummer turned vocalist Zeke Manyike on a fine cover of Marshall Jefferson and Byron Stingily 'Open Your Eyes'. Presented in full vocal (A) and instrumental forms, it's a stunning, slow-build deep house rich in bongo-laced beats, Balearic house piano motifs (think The Beloved's 'The Sun Rising'), memorable bass and swirling, trippy effects. As impressive as you'd expect given then personnel involved.
