"DISSONANCE was a Flint, Michigan seminal hardcore punk band known for their unique brand of melodic thrash and hyper-energetic live performances. From 1982 - 1987 they grew from humble punk roots to become a viable force in the Midwest underground music scene developing a respectable and loyal following. Hosting many nationally-touring bands via their own booking and promotion efforts, they played with groups such as Black Flag, Suicidal Tendencies, C.O.C, 7 Seconds, D.R.I., Wasted Youth, Die Kreuzen, Toxic Reasons, Crucifucks and Slayer. They toured the country in the summer of 1986 and disbanded in the summer of 1987. The smell, however, has lingered... " (from the DISSONANCE myspace page)

Very obscure band from Vilnius which is little known outside their home country. Bleak doom/death with weeping guitars, growls and melodic solos. Occational speed outbursts are to be expected as well. While being surprisingly innovative in a genre full of copycats, it is still recommendable for fans of Anathema. It is said that they have moved into the direction of rock on their later releases.

Side project of Cripple Bastards, existing between 1990 and 1991, consisting of CB members Giulio The Bastard (vocals) and Alberto The Crippler (guitar), as well as a drummer named Luigi. Dissonance was the CB guys' outlet for their more hardcore/thrash influences, rather than the grind/noisecore that CB was performing at the time. They recorded one demo - "Proud People Suck" - which was released as a three-way tape with Cripple Bastards and K.S.G. in 1991.
