Tech House / House 4 Track EP - Demi Riquísimo has collaborated with close friend and fellow producer Manami on his sub-label A Lifetime On The Hips. The release see’s Demi Riquísimo and Tokyo born Manami link up on two new originals, accompanied by stand-out remixes from Subwax owner Baldo and prolific Italian DJ and producer Matisa.
The fourth release on the sub-label it opens up with the EP’s namesake 'Sugar Snap’ a dreamlike record that effortlessly blends ambient textures and celestial melodies, yet remains primed for the dance floor. Following suit, the A2, 'Interstellar,' aptly lives up to its name, enhanced by cosmic soundscapes that transcend traditional boundaries.
Barcelona based DJ, producer and label owner Baldo takes the reins for a remix of the A1, delivering a spacey rework infused with breakbeat elements that breathes alternative life into the original. Meanwhile, Italian producer Matisa works her magic on 'Interstellar,' transforming it into a lively organ-driven roller with a more playful bounce to it.
Two genuine rising stars collaborate here for the first time, as Semi Delicious label founder Demi Riquisimo joins forces with Japan-born, Bristol-based Manami. The duo opt to start in thrillingly positive and tuneful fashion on 'Sugar Snap', where Japanese-influenced melodic lead lines, spacey chords and jaunty organ stabs ride above a surging, tech-tinged house groove, before continuing the full-throttle star-gazing flavour on 'Interstellar'. Over on the flip, both tracks are given the remix treatment. Baldo turns 'Sugar Snap' into a bleeping, acid-propelled slab of hallucinatory neo-trance, while Matisa reaches for chunky organ bass, jumpy female vocal samples and fizzing electronics on a vintage UKG-influenced revision of 'Interstellar'.

In the middle of 2008, one of the top US music producers, PHARRELL WILLIAMS(The Neptunes) and his close friend NIGO®, the producer of the street clothing brand A BATHING APE® and is also a member of TERIYAKI BOYZ® (theme song from the film “Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift”) came together to hold an audition STAR BAPE® SEARCH to seek a female HIPHOP/R&B artist.
The audition was aimed at locating a DIVA who can make an impact in the music industry not only in the Far East but globally. The grand winner was to release a record with a major label, be fully produced and backed by PHARRELL WILLIAMS(The Neptunes) and NIGO®. The audition attracted entries from all over the Asian countries in hope for this dream opportunity.
On 13th August STAR BAPE® SEARCH FINAL STAGE was held at UNIT Daikanyama, Japan and the winner was chosen, Manami (born October 6, 1986).
