Originally released on Stiff Records in 1977, National Album Day 2022 has insisted on bringing this highly influential classic to life in a new pressing; teeming with energy, wit and enough proto-genre bending to remind all why The Damned are still an integral aspect of any discussion regarding UK punk and alternative music nearly a half century on.
Damned Damned Damned is now available on yellow vinyl for National Album Day. The Damned blazed a trail when they became the very first British punk band to release a single (New Rose) on 22nd October 1976, which was swiftly followed by the release of the very first British punk album, their classic debut long-player Damned Damned Damned, originally released by Stiff Records on 18th February 1977. Charting at 36 in the UK upon release the album has reached legendary status over the 45 years since it's initial release. At just half an hour long, Damned Damned Damned is a stone cold classic of rock and roll fire and coupled with the band's take-no-prisoners aesthetic, the Damned left rhetoric for the theoreticians and political posing for the Clash.

DAMNED is a visual kei band that originated under the name VELTRO in 2022. The band describes themselves as a "visual kei loudcore" group, combining elements of modern metalcore with a dark and intense visual aesthetic.
The current lineup consists of vocalist Keigo, guitarist Kou., bassist 咲薇 (Sakura), and drummer Masaya. The band had a previous member, guitarist 瑶 (You), who departed in 2023.
VELTRO started as a session band in early 2022, and during this period, they released two singles titled "Grimnir" and "Revenir." Following their pre-determined termination date as VELTRO, the members announced on September 16, 2022, that they would continue their activities as DAMNED. Their debut single under the name DAMNED was titled "VELTRO" and was released on November 1, 2022.
DAMNED's musical style embraces their "visual kei loudcore" concept, incorporating powerful rhythmic power chords, guttural vocals, and headbanging breakdowns. On June 14, 2023, DAMNED announced the departure of guitarist 瑶 (You) from the band following their live event on June 28, 2023. Despite this change, DAMNED remains committed to moving forward and continuing their musical journey.
