Club 69 was a moniker for the producer and remixer Peter Rauhofer (29 April 1965 – 7 May 2013). A native of Vienna, Austria, he is famous for his remixes for Madonna, Whitney Houston, Jessica Simpson, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Mariah Carey among others. As Club 69, he released two albuns: "Adults Only" (1994), which included such Dancefloor hits as "Let Me Be Your Underwear" "Diva", "Unique", "Sugar Pie Guy", "Take A Ride" and "Fantasy." A few years later "Style" (1997), was released. It includes the hit songs "I Look Good", "Much Better", "Drama", "Alright" and a cover of "Muscles." A few more years later, a remix album followed, titled "Club 69 Future Mix." It features two discs of remixes. He has yet to release any new material as Club 69.Rauhofer was a popular DJ who spun throughout the United States. He was the former resident DJ at the weekly gay dance night held at the Roxy in New York, which closed its doors in 2007. Rauhofer was formerly the resident DJ of the gay dance party called "Work." Peter's party was held weekly at the Stereo nightclub in New York until March 3, 2008 when the City invoked eminent domain and acquired the building. "Work" was a monthly event, despite lacking a permanent venue. Rauhofer was mostly known for spinning tribal house and continued to play many gay circuit party events, and was scheduled to play the ultimate events (White Party Palm Springs and One Mighty Weekend's Magic Journeys at Arabian Nights) prior to his falling ill in February 2013. Memorial services were held from coast to coast (including Miami and New York) and special events honoring Rauhofer continued into the Summer of 2013. Peter Rauhofer (Club 69) won the Grammy Award in 2000 for Best Remixer of the Year for his remix of Cher Believe song. Rauhofer was also voted "DJ of the Year" in the 8th Annual JustCircuit Awards™ as was announced in March 2013 [4] and by over 7,000 registered users of the Circuit Media portal JustCircuit.com. On Wednesday, April 17, 2013, it was made public that Rauhofer was diagnosed with a brain tumor. A message was posted on his Facebook page by his friend and manager, Angelo Russo, informing friends and fans of the incident. On May 7, 2013, Peter Rauhofer lost his battle with brain cancer. Russo posted an obituary on Rauhofer's Facebook page. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.

Last FM Information on Suzanne Palmer

Please note the information is done on a artist keyword match and data is provided by LastFM.
Chicago-born Suzanne Palmer became a high-profile dance music diva after teaming up with New York-based producer Peter Rauhofer and joined his project Club 69, adding her dazzling vocals on "Much Better," "Alright," "Twisted," and a house version of Diana Ross' 1981 hit "Muscles" featured on the 1997 album Style. The daughter of a jazz pianist, Palmer started performing professionally at the age of 16. From gospel, soul, jazz, and contemporary R&B to house and techno, the talented singer had the opportunity to start her solo career after touring Europe as part of the vocal group Victory Singers, achieving an award in an international pop festival in Poland and singing along with different U.S. numbers. In 2001, Palmer joined Peter Rauhofer once again to record a cover of British Kosheen's jungle/drum'n'bass smash "I Hide U," followed by "Show Me" in 2002. ~ Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide Read more on Last.fm.
