Charm are back from the depths of Berlin. Following three successful releases, they are now presenting their new EP on Flaneurecordings. The EP comprises three tracks that captivate with their warm atmosphere, profound soundscapes and driving basslines. In doing so, they create space for the sound to unfold and invite listeners to an intense listening experience. With their music, Charm succeed in striking a balance between depth and movement.
FLaneurecordings regular Oliver Marquart returns with his third solo EP for the Berlin-based imprint, bringing with him a trio of highly classy deep house gems. Our pick of a very strong bunch is A-side 'Keep Your Heart Open', a hazy, dubbed-out chunk of bass-heavy deep house hypnotism topped off by echoing melodic motifs, dreamy textures and what sounds like a Barry White spoken word vocal. Marquardt opts for a lighter-touch and more emotive sound on 'Love is Nothing To Be Scared Of', a cut marked out by an extended, spine-tingling ambient breakdown, before immersing us in tactile, jazz-flecked early morning deep house waters on the simply gorgeous 'Walking Through Eternity'.
