DESCRIPTION:
'Wuthering Heights' is Charli xcx’s album written for Emerald Fennel’s highly anticipated film 'Wuthering Heights', starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi. The album will be released alongside the film on Valentine’s Day 2026.

Charli XCX has always seemed to work best when she's shifting shape and this latest move into a darker register feels like her leaning back into the British textures she grew up around. 'House' arrives like a storm front: distorted guitars, heavy machinery in the drums and John Cale murmuring through the mix as if he's pacing the next room. It's charred, gothic and oddly tender and the kind of track that feels discovered rather than designed. 'Chains of Love' softens the edges, pulling in synths and strings with a light touch that recalls her earliest work but there's still that bruised atmosphere hanging over it. Together they sketch out a new space for her - windblown, and far more instinctive than polished.

Charlotte Emma Aitchison (born 2 August 1992), known professionally as Charli xcx, is a British pop singer and songwriter. She began sharing her music on Myspace in 2008 before entering the London rave scene. In 2010, she signed with Asylum Records and released a series of singles and mixtapes. In 2012, she was featured on "I Love It" by the Swedish duo Icona Pop, which became her first UK number-one single and achieved international success. Her debut studio album, "True Romance" (2013), received positive reviews but did not meet commercial expectations. In 2014, Charli xcx appeared on Iggy Azalea’s single "Fancy," which became her most streamed song and one of the year's best-selling singles. That same year, she released "Boom Clap," her first solo top-ten single in the United States. Her second studio album, "Sucker" (2014), yielded the singles "Break the Rules" and "Doing It." Beginning in 2015, she worked with producers linked to the UK collective PC Music, adopting a more experimental sound. This period included the release of the EP "Vroom Vroom" (2016) and the mixtapes "Number 1 Angel" and "Pop 2" (both 2017). Her third studio album, "Charli" (2019), included the hit single "1999." Her fourth studio album, "How I'm Feeling Now" (2020), was created during the COVID-19 lockdowns and received critical acclaim. Her fifth studio album, "Crash" (2022), became her first number-one album in the UK and Australia. She contributed the UK top-ten single "Speed Drive" to the soundtrack of the 2023 film "Barbie." Her sixth studio album, "Brat" (2024), became her second UK number-one album and was named the best album of 2024 by outlets including Billboard and Rolling Stone. It produced the UK top-ten hit "Apple," and its accompanying remix album generated her second number-one single, "Guess," featuring Billie Eilish. "Brat" and its associated works received eight Grammy Award nominations at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards and won three: Best Dance Pop Recording for "Von Dutch," Best Dance/Electronic Album, and Best Recording Package. In addition to her solo work, Charli xcx has co-written songs for other artists, including Iggy Azalea's "Beg for It" (2014), Selena Gomez's "Same Old Love" (2015), Blondie's "Tonight" (2017), the Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello collaboration "Señorita" (2019), and the Sigala and Rita Ora collaboration "You for Me" (2021). She received the ASCAP Global Impact Award in 2024 and was included in Gold House’s A100 list the same year, becoming the first woman of British Indian origin to be recognized.
