4 Tracks OF Vocal Deep House With Disco & Soulful Overtones - Big release outta Casablanca, Morocco from Cee ElAssaad.
We here at Local Talk have been big fans of Cee's deeply organic and uplifting House productions for a good while, so we're mighty happy to present this new release.
The A side starts up with a massive organ house workout that has been played on repeat at Mad Mats residency at the Soulmates club in Stockholm over the last 6 months or so. A peak time jam! To add more fire we asked Emmaculate to throw down a remix for us, and it doesn't hold back. Deep, bumpy and utterly funky. Again...those house organs are fully at work!
On the B side Cee goes to church with deep but slight jackin' 4/4s over some heavy gospel preaching. To enhance the gospel experience, our friend from Amsterdam, Marcel Vogel makes a long overdue guest visit on Local Talk and delivers a big gospel intro that moves into a jazzy and thumpin' house affair.
Label-hopping Moroccoan producer Cee ElAssaad makes a rapid return to Local Talk, Mad Mats and Tooli's ever on-point deep and soulful house imprint. The Casablanca-based producer delivers two future anthems, both accompanied by a fine remix. Side A is all about 'Set Me Free', where energetic and stretched-out organ solos and picturesque pianos ride a chunky, synth bass-propelled deep house groove. Emmaculate remixes, giving the track a jazz-funk flavoured, Crackazat style broken beat-goes-house vibe. ElAssaad opts to foreground gospel preachers, squelchy acid lines and sustained electric piano chords on righteous and rolling B-side opener 'Jump In', which Amsterdam-based German Marcel Vogel brilliantly re-imagines as a more organic, spacious and rubbery chunk of lo-fi gospel disco/gospel house fusion.
