Wolf Music must be one of the front runners of the vinyl house scene. Their delectable roster has broke new artists and cemented old ones. They are prolific but have a high quality control department. Their reliance on rock solid grooves and a dancefloor sensibility has done them better than any favours from the hype machine, and it's one of those subtle, precious labels you can always rely on for a quality secret weapon or under-the-radar hit. This release follows Casino Times' debut album and sees wonderkid Al Zanders alongside Moomin remix two tracks from the LP. Al Zanders gets busy on side A, deploying his fluttery filters, unique drums and bass heavy, gliding low end to "Carlotta". Shop regulars will know I've got a massive soft spot for this guy due to his stand-out production, great personality and again, not just ticking the boxes for the hype machine.
